Food Production
Among the crops produced in Kakilakura union, paddy is the most important crop. The place of jute is after rice. The next agricultural products to be mentioned are pulses such as musculature, peas, chickpeas etc. Oil seeds include mustard and sesame. Food crops like Kaun, China, Dhunda, Wheat, Barley are produced. The notable fruits here are footi (bangi), watermelon, khisarai etc. Also, fruits like mango, jam, jackfruit, guava, coconut, betel nut, palm, date, grapefruit (batabi lemon), lemon, tamarind, kamaranga, olive, bell, pomegranate, ata etc. are produced in large quantities in this district.
